Cathy,
I found your IPOIA blog online and found it very interesting. I recently purchased a home on Sherwood Forest Drive North which will eventually be a retirement home.
I couldn't agree more about the need to increase revenues to improve Ivanhoe. This area has a incredible potential, but the lack of maintenance and some very poorly kept properties are clearly holding things back.
Where else can one purchase a waterfront home for under 200K and in many cases under 150K?
I've served as President of homeowner associations in Houston and know the battle you are facing. If there is anything I can do to support your efforts, let me know.
In the interim, please forward any documents or links about the area, policies, etc. I would like to learn more about this area that is becoming more and more home to me each week.
I do have one specific question about how to access the boat landing at Lake Galahad, let me know who to speak to about this.
Thanks in advance,
Jim

Welcome, Jim.
I've heard about the huge problems the HOA's in Harris County are having/causing. The HOA's in Harris County have been so bad, the State of Texas had to add a Chapter to the law JUST for Harris County. I appreciate your offer, but no thanks.
Enjoy the lakes.

People hunt IN Ivanhoe! Don't you ever hear the gunshots?
Folks come from miles around and swim and trash the Lake. If you ask them what part of Ivanhoe they live in, they'll tell you... they live in Woodville, Wildwood, Beaumont and other places, and have "been swimming here for years", but don't own property out here.
