Concerning the petition protesting Monarch’s proposed water increase: Is there anyway a electronic signature can be established for those folks that do not live at Ivanhoe but do have vacation homes and are using Monarch as their water supplier? Or does our vote not count? Please advise!

Thank you,
Lynette Gault

You will need to contact the city about that. However, I do know that they have collected the required amount of signatures.

Hello,
I have 2 questions.
1. Is being a member of the IPOIA mandatory to live in Ivanhoe? I see where you're consulting an attorney. What if you don't use the parks or lakes?
2. The budget & by-laws vote, is that for the IPOIA or the City of Ivanhoe?

I will try to answer your two questions to the best of my ability. If you still need more clarification please email IPOIA.Board@gmail.com and a board member will go into greater detail. Being a member of the IPOIA is based on where you live in Ivanhoe. The front section right as you turn in which used to be referred to as "Old Ivanhoe" are not members of the Association. The IPOIA however does ask that if they wish to use the parks and lakes that they pay the $6 per lot and $5 sticker fee.
The reference to consulting an attorney is to possibly recoup maintenance fee's that have not been paid from past years. On a personal note, we have lived here for 10 yrs. and I can count the times on one hand that we have utilized the parks and lakes. We never go boating, fishing or swimming. (We take our grandkids swimming once a year when they visit). I think the $6 maintenance fee per lot is a small price to keep our lakes and parks for the use of Ivanhoe residents and their invited guests. Hope this answers your questions.
