I am glad to see this. We all know Ivanhoe needs more funds, not that I'm happy one bit about the amount of taxes I am now paying, but if you need to raise money, have more things like this. This way the residents of Ivanhoe at least feel like they are getting something in return!!!

This fundraiser was for repair/replacement of some of the park equipment. It was a great success and thanks to everyone who bought a potato....they were delicious......as you know city taxes are not used for the parks or lakes, the $6 per lot and $5 sticker fees are what keeps our parks and lakes private for use by Ivanhoe residents only. Thanks once again for your support....Ivanhoe Residents are the BEST!

Karen, I hate to sound to pessimistic but there is no way possible to have the lakes in Ivanhoe" private". This is a public city now, no one monitors the entrance of the lakes of who is out swimming or fishing. I live by a lake and not once have I seen any security asking people fishing for an ID of some sort to prove where they live. Ivanhoe pays for security, have the deputies start checking ID's or something. Start passing our fines for trespassing, something! Make them pay a fine or asses a fine. Just a thought...

You can easily make this subdivision private by putting a coded gate at the entrance like any apartment complex in any city has or go back to having a guard at the gate which was in the contract I signed and go by in here. Go look at Wildwood , Since we have an over abundance of tax dollars now maybe we can get teenagers at minimum wage to stand at the gate and stop them from having to much time on their hands for vandalizing ???? Tax payer 73 ps...when are we going to get our tax exemptions ???
